Hey Travel Lover
Were you captivated by the title? Do you love new experiences? Are you ready for the spill on this trip? Interestingly, I haven’t gotten the meaning of Fazenda Sengha, but who knows, a knowledgeable person might just be in the comments section…. fingers crossed.
Did you read “The Rwanda Experience”? (Click here to catch up). Our second free day in Rwanda came too quickly so we needed to make the most of every minute. To maximize our time, we decided to visit one of the must see and most talked about attractions; Fazenda Sengha. When we saw the activities it had to offer, we were over the moon and extremely happy we came prepared. See my goofy “on the way” shots below.
An excerpt of the activities that got us excited include archery, zip lining, quad bike riding, painting on the spot and horseback riding. We chose two activities; Archery and Zip lining.
Ever so eager, we sauntered to the Archery stand, got kitted up with the safety gear (to avoid injury) and got handed our bow and arrows. Yaaaaay, our Robin Hood moment was activated, as we hoped to hit the target and possibly a bullseye. We were taught the basics; holding the bow, aligning your arrow on the bow, aiming & targeting, and of course firing. We practiced with three arrows each before we started attempting to hit the Bullseye. We thoroughly loved it and although most of my arrows flew past the target, my travel partner on the other hand made some bullseye hits (I suspect she’s been up to some undercover hitman duties). I honestly look forward to doing this again; it was so much FUN!
With archery done and dusted we made our way to the zip line stand. There was a bit of trepidation on both our ends on the way there. I have to confess, the first time I was to try Zip lining in Las Vegas, I chickened out, I honestly can’t say why I decided to indulge here. We were to go three rounds on the lines (to and fro) making a total of six times. The first two rounds were shorter and the last round was longer.
Zip lining Showtime!!! We were kitted in the safety gear for the activity and the ropes for the zip line. As I climbed a step board gingerly to get on the takeoff platform I could literally feel my heartbeat almost as intense as ten talking drums. I got attached to the line, was given a gentle push and off I went. I held onto the rope attached to my body for dear life and then it happened…. I suddenly started enjoying the activity, the rush of the wind, the feeling of freedom and the greenery all around, I was having a BLAST. I couldn’t wait to go on my second and third rounds.
When I was told to start zip lining to the other side in reverse (facing the takeoff platform), it was easy peasy. To go on the third round, there was a moment when we had to walk through spikes driven into the ground like Eddie Murphy in the movie, “The Golden Child”. Someone chickened out at this point and used the “safer route” but your girl Ajalaress on the other hand got to experience her Eddie Murphy moment. It was such a thrill and gosh I can’t wait to Zipline again
After these activities we strolled around Fazenda Sengha, taking in the sights of other happy people quad bike riding, bouncing on the trampoline, horseback riding and just people watching. It was absolutely unforgettable.
So Travel Lover, when you visit Rwanda would you visit the much talked about Fazenda Sengha? Would you attempt Zip lining and Archery? Has the name Fazenda Sengha been demystified? Awaiting your responses in the comments section.
Till Next Time.

This is captivating, I will make out time to take a trip to Ruwanda and I want to try out all these interesting experiences personally not imagining how Ajalaress team enjoyed it. Fazenda Sengha see you soon.
So much fun. My favorite is the archery. Can’t wait to try it
