Hey Travel Lover
How long does it take you to pack when travelling? Are you a “start packing two weeks before the trip” person or a “pack a night before the trip person? When you arrive at your destination do you suddenly realize you forgot a much needed item?
I usually start out with a plan to pack two weeks before my trip, I get my suitcase down, open it and figure I will start tossing things into it. Then a day to my trip I notice I haven’t really tossed anything into my suitcase. Sometimes, panic sets in at this time. What do I pack? What will I need?
There are some essentials I definitely cannot travel without:
Ø Portable weighing scale
Ø Small travel bag that will double as handbag on the trip back.
Ø Travel Adaptor
Ø Toiletries
Ø Comfortable walking shoes
Ø Comfortable weather appropriate clothing
Ø A Scarf
Ø A Book
Ø Sanitizer and Face Mask( New Entrant)
My first trip to Paris in April, 2014 comes to mind, I had figured my sweater and scarf would enable me defeat the cold. I had planned on spending the day in Disneyland – I still did – unfortunately I had reckoned without the weather. The train ride from Paris to Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy (Disneyland Gate) was warm and I was convinced the weather would be fine. While on the queue for my first ride, I suddenly realized my hands were freezing and I was trembling slightly. I had to quickly purchase gloves (very colorful kiddy gloves) and a cup of steaming hot chocolate. Those items saved me till the weather became more agreeable. I bought a Jacket the very next day, just imagine if I was armed with my jacket and gloves?
I have also fallen prey to my gadgets (Phone and Tablet) battery running out during wait time at the airport as I didn’t have a travel adaptor.
So Travel Lover, do you pack two weeks before or the night before your trip? Is there an essential you want to share with us? Awaiting your comments in the comment section.
Till Next Week
Truly Yours

Jacket, Gloves...What else?
Somehow I've discovered that I always pretend that I'm way ahead of time when packing for my trip.
Days before the trip, my brain in frozen with anxiety about what to pack and what not to waste time and KG throwing into the suitcase.
Ideal time to be at the airport, essentials needed for the, things I may think I don't need that will come back to haunt me because I will need them the most but all the same, something always tells me that I'm doing well with the packing.
Then the last minute, anxiety strikes, the suitcase is overloaded or severely under loaded, essentials forgotten amidst all the drama, quickening the packing so as to get some sleep before the flight, especially morning flights.
It's a whole load of stress.
But the hot cup of cappuccino at the airport always compensate for all that troubles, the airports seems not to know how to fail with cappuccinos and it's my routine to down a cup before setting foot on the flight cabin.
And because I don't like sleeping on board, I always remember to get a few more bottles of Amarula from the generous crew.
They are all I need for my coffee, sometimes I don't even need the food, Amarula coffee is paradise on earth, I massage it through the flight while I concentrate on my book.
i love packaging the night before most times i pack first in my head so when am carrying out the physical stuf
fs its easier for me
