Hey Travel Lover
“Every now and then go away, have a little relaxation, for when you come back to your work your judgment will be surer. Go some distance away because then the work appears smaller and more of it can be taken in at a glance and a lack of harmony and proportion is more readily seen” - Leonardo da Vinci
Do you agree or disagree? Have you taken time off lately? How do you rest, relax, rejuvenate?
Travelling – local or foreign – is definitely my “getaway” from the work phase. I mentioned in some previous posts that a trip shouldn’t be choked with activities, activities and more activities. You can use a day or two to actually just rest and relax. The next question is what do you consider rest? Rest for me is any of the following, reading a good book either in a cabana by the poolside or indoors, lazing in front of the TV, listening to good music or a spa and massage day with my hair down ready to be spoilt
I remember my trip to Marrakech, Morocco. While booking the hotel I saw it had an amazing spa and I read great reviews from previous guests. I immediately dedicated one day to explore and use the facilities. In some hotels, you can get all sorts of discount or freebies on the spa, be sure to lookout for and ask for the perks if it is available.
On my dedicated day, I made sure I had no plans to leave the hotel and I booked my spa session. It included the use of their sauna, facials and an hour long Swedish massage. It was time and money well spent. I felt well rested that day and concluded the day by taking a slow leisurely walk in the rose garden. The air was permeated with the budding roses such that the scent has lingered long in my memory ever since.
So Travel Lover, I totally agree with the quote by Leonardo de Vinci, because after some “away time” productivity is always surer for me. Do you agree or disagree with the words of Leonardo De Vinci? Have you taken time off lately? How do you rest, relax, rejuvenate? Let us know in the comments section.
Till next week
Truly yours

Beautiful experience, next you have to try out the spas of Thailand.
Then come back and give me the definition of paradise.
