Hey Travel Lover
What intrigues you? What makes you go, “really, is that possible”? Do you think a restaurant that revolves 360 degrees is possible? I didn’t know it was possible until I visited and dined at one. Anything indeed is possible we just need to have a limitless mindset!
Have you seen the movie “Sleepless in Seattle”? The Space Needle (an observatory tower in Seattle) made its way to my bucket list after that movie. I however didn’t know about the Sky City Restaurant then. The Sky City Restaurant is located atop the Space Needle and is a revolving restaurant offering panoramic views of the city as you dine…..oh the “magic of it”. You can obtain a ticket to visit the observation deck without going to the restaurant but when dining at the restaurant, the observatory deck visit is complimentary…
When I entered the restaurant, I guess I thought it would be spinning, that however wasn’t the case, we were taken to our seat, a window seat obviously and I got set for magic! I love cocktails, I can’t overemphasize that and when the menu was brought, I saw that if you ordered daiquiri, you got to keep the glass it was served in, I opted for that. That yellow glass with the space needle history on it came home with me.
The meal was a delight but the big finish was the dessert – an attention grabbing, simply magical, majestically floating, smoke hovering vanilla Ice cream - unfortunately I can’t upload a video so you don’t get to see it here…I’ll definitely upload the video on my instagram account. The sugar rush I get each time I relive the experience is simply indescribable. In a nutshell, the visual spectacle matched with the culinary delight delivered memorable feelings of euphoric proportions.
Sky City Restaurant Seattle has however been closed for renovation – the floor is to be made completely of glass – so one can see beneath and also see the magic-causing mechanism. There are however several other revolving restaurants in cities around the world, “The View -New York”, “360 Bar and Dining - Sydney, Australia” and “Om Revolving Restaurant - Jaipur, India” are other revolving restaurants on my bucket list.
So Travel Lover, are you intrigued by the revolving restaurant? Do you think dining and seeing a different sight when you look out the window is worth experiencing? Will a revolving restaurant make its way to your bucket list?
Till Next Week
Truly Yours

I bet the food cost more........hmmmm......very nice view. This is not for travellers on a tight budget though.
Now you’ve done it! I now have the Sky City Restaurant in Seattle in my bucket list
