Hey Travel Lover
What came to mind when you saw the post title? Did you think of the shallow end of a pool? Or a zone for splashing water? Or a really catchy phrase? I will demystify splash zone soon, get ready….
We all know what happens in Vegas…..Stays in Vegas, but I’ll be an exception, just this once, *winks*. A friend and I visited Las Vegas in the summer of 2015 and spent a week. Apart from gambling, obviously, there are loads and loads of activities to do in Vegas and if you don’t plan, you might become overwhelmed.
This particular show; “O” by Cirque du Soleil was recommended as a “must see” by another friend who had previously visited Vegas and we gleefully slid it onto our to-do list. The show was normally done in the evening; I didn’t however go online to know what to expect as I didn’t want to ruin the surprise.
On the morning of the day in question, we bought our tickets (they weren’t cheap by the way) and when we got row 3 seats – Splash Zone – we thought nothing of it. We were simply ecstatic we got front row seats at a great bargain. Little did we know what we were in for?
Before the show started we were told we couldn’t take pictures, sad, but we complied. The show started with solid floor and lights, then, right in front of our eyes, the solid floor became a big mass of water with acrobats and gymnasts and the lights dimmed. There was activity everywhere, I didn’t know which set of performers to concentrate on – those close to the roof, those in the water or those running around. Then the splash began. Whilst the acrobats were doing their water thingy we occasionally got splashed with water.
Whilst, I cannot say it had a definite story line, those who like lots of “activity” would certainly enjoy the two-hour long show. General consensus by most viewers is that “O” is definitely worth the hype. I also found out the show got its title “O” as a wordplay on the French word for water “eau”, remarkable right? There goes a teeny-weeny bit of my Vegas experience
So Travel Lover, would you divulge your Vegas secret? Would you love to experience the “O” when you visit Vegas? Would you pay big bucks to get in the splash zone?
Till Next Week
Truly Yours

Splash Zone
Wow amazing. I will mark it first point of call when I visit Vegas. Thanks Ajalaress. It’s worth seeing.
We haven't visited Vegas yet. We would have to search for activities to do. Staying in the splash zone of O sounds like fun though. Thanks for breaking the Vegas pact and sharing what happened in Vegas for you. Looking forward to the next read.
