Hey Travel Lover

“I dress myself, not to impress, but for comfort and for style”… Lindsey Wixson

Picture this…. You have short notice to embark on a business trip, and you suddenly realize the itinerary has daily activities with specific dress codes, what do you do?

In 2019, I was opportune to be selected for a diversity and inclusion training and it was all fun until I received our itinerary and realized it had some activities that required specific dress codes. There was even a surprise undisclosed activity – which turned out to be a helicopter tour of Manhattan - New York city.

Likewise, in 2022, I planned to visit some countries in the European Region. At that time of the year while the weather in one country (Spain) was hot and sunny, the weather in the other (Switzerland) was cold and windy. I had to make specific clothing provisions for these weather extremes.

As much as I love to hop on transatlantic flights and catch those beautiful sights from various tourist sites, I am not a fan of excessive packing. Believe me, I’d rather travel very light but being prepared means you have almost everything you need even if you are far from home. Luckily I know a personal stylist – The Cubed Woman – who has helped me navigate these waters I constantly find myself in.

In 2019, she assessed my itinerary and worked me through what I would wear for each event. This included drinks on a yacht, dinner in an art gallery, that helicopter tour, and a host of other fun activities. By being prepared (of course with the help of The Cubed Woman), I showed up confident, comfortable and chic in all my attires. I can remember vividly the comments of one of the delegates. She remarked on how I always looked well dressed and ready for each activity, of course my face lit up like a million watts bulb

The Cubed Woman worked the same magic during my mini European tour after I gave her my itinerary. She dissected my outfits into summer and winter and made me ready for all the weather elements I would meet. I am ever so happy to have her in my corner.

So Travel Lover, how do you pack for your trips? Do you, like me, sometimes feel lost? Do you use the services of a personal stylist to really sparkle when you travel? Let us know in the comments section.

Till Next Time

Truly Yours

I love traveling but I hate packing. I always push that part of it to other people and thanks be to God there’s always family or friend wherever I am traveling from to do that part and they are the best stylist you can get. Lucky me 👏👏👏👍👍👍
