Hey Travel Lover,
It’s holiday season and for those enjoying the summer, I’m sure all you can think about is sunshine, more sunshine and maybe some rain. Guess what I’m thinking about? Snow🤣🤭 I know it’s weird right? Well, oh well, the gist of it. You need to catch up here.
I once found a memorable quote from an anonymous source. It read “Sometimes what you’re looking for comes when you’re not looking at all”. In all of my travels over the past 15 years, snow always found a way to elude me🤷♂️. It either fell at night when I was asleep, some days before I arrived or the epic one, the day after I depart. I recall a vivid picture of a beautiful snow fall my brother sent to me. It was a few days after I left Seattle😭
Fast forward to February 2023, I honestly travelled without thinking of snow. I just wanted to visit a new location in Canada. Then as the quote above goes, I was rewarded. That fateful day, it was as cold as always and I decided to visit a monumental site. It was an amazing museum on eight floors (story for another day). I was among the last people to leave as I wanted to see as much as I could within the allotted time. I had also overindulged during breakfast and wanted to use the walk as a means of exercise so I didn’t use the lift until I was compelled to by a nice and stern lady. She wanted all visitors close to the exit door.
When the museum tour was done and I came out of the building, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I’m sure I screamed, because right in front of me, I saw snow ❄️ falling in all its beauty. Endless sheets of light white flakes falling from the sky 😍. It didn’t take long to realize its beauty also had a savage side, the bitter brutal bite of the feathery falling flakes🥶 . I quickly wrapped my nose with my extra thick scarf and asked an amazing fellow tourist for a quick video to capture the moment.
Walking in the snow wasn’t funny, I suddenly couldn’t wait to get to my hotel room. One thing stood out for me though. I had ticked this off by bucketlist.
So Travel Lover, what are you thinking of this holiday? Have you walked in the snow? Can you share your experience? Awaiting your responses in the comments section.

I’d never have guessed 2023 would be your first time interacting with snow 😄 but I got really excited especially when you screamed 😄😄😄
