Hey Travel Lover
I am a planner, and I literally plan for days or weeks before undertaking a decision. Even one as simple as buying a mobile phone. I carry out research, read the pros and cons and get reviews from those who have used the mobile phone…you can then imagine if I intend to visit a new destination.
I made a decision to visit Zimbabwe this September with a few travel lovers – Yes, I wanted to go there for my birthday, so I could see Victoria Falls (you know I love Waterfalls, if you don’t know, click here) and share the gorgeous sights and sounds with you – On this occasion it seemed out of character that I did no research whatsoever. It was probably the euphoria of travelling out of my home country after such a looooong time.
We needed a visa to visit the country, I didn’t even know - that’s how prepared I was - When we realized and applied, the application process was just like a piece of cake. I became involved at this point and started looking at flights and hotels while announcing to all and sundry that I was heading to Zimbabwe, Zim for short…
In a rather funny twist of events, after an agonizing seven working days of waiting, we received the visa. Sorry...the visa decision – alas – rejection. How? How?? How??? There was no reason, just the fact that our applications were rejected. So many “what-if” scenarios played out in my head. Some of the treats I was looking forward to was the free range of wild life that would sing me good morning each day. I had also imagined the relaxing and rejuvenating massage from the world class spa (If you need the name of the hotel, drop a comment)
At this point, I wish I knew a visitor’s visa was needed to visit the country. I wish I applied earlier for the visa. I wish I had an alternative country alongside my Zimbabwe decision. In any case, I'm not wishing away this visit. It’s still on my bucket list but I will definitely push it further down.

Wow how I would’ve loved to read about the beautiful sights and delicious meals of Zimbabwe
This is an eye opener. I will play way ahead wherever I want to embark on a vacation but I have placed Zimbabwe on top priority list.
Thanks Ajalaress for the info. They missed a great opportunity that would’ve high lighted their tourist attractions.
Keep soaring higher

What a loss for Zim👀
I’ve not had to do any preparations in a while so this is a strong reminder to find out what’s important before making plans. Please what’s the name of the spa?! Let me check them out 😁
Cheers to the next trip you will take, I’m sure you’ll have fun and I’m here for update
